Career Lab and Events Series
The year ran a deliberate arc: Fall for orientation, when new students need to understand the landscape, and Spring for activation, when job and internship timelines turn urgent. Events carry the live, time‑sensitive layer; the guide series codifies what events surface. Every session logged its own attendance.
A hybrid Drop‑in session, the format's third attempt, drew a single check‑in. One additional session scheduled for April 7 was cancelled due to weather. Totals: eight events, 110 check‑ins, 83 unique students.
The format that did not work
Drop‑in Hours ran three times, including a hybrid attempt, and drew four total check‑ins against a workshop average of roughly 24. The format is flagged for reconsideration rather than quietly rescheduled: unstructured availability does not convert for this population, structured named sessions do. That finding shapes the Fall 2026 calendar.
What converted
Named, outcome‑framed workshops. The flagship search workshop drew 25 in September and 31 in February, the two largest rooms of the year. Career Fair Preparation matched the September flagship at 25.
Forward on evidence
The Career Lab series expands from two labs to four for Fall 2026, and drop‑in availability is replaced with structured formats. The calendar follows the attendance data, not the other way around.
